Finishing Well

Empowering Communities with New Hope Fellowship

OUR MISSION

Finishing Well Ministries exists to help senior adults embrace a thriving relationships with Jesus Christ and a purposeful lifestyle of serving others for Him. We accomplish this through various means, including:

  • Christian Church Services – Providing assurance of salvation for peace in this life and hope for eternity.
  • Biblical Devotionals and Bible Studies – Offering wisdom for godly living and encouragement for the heart.
  • Prayer Opportunities – Fostering steadfast faith through intercession and community support.
  • Christ-Centered Purpose – Encouraging seniors to live with significance and fulfillment, including fulfilling The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by reaching other generations for Christ.

WHY THIS MINISTRY MATTERS

The senior adult population is one of the fastest-growing demographics in Monroe, WA, yet it is often underserved in ministry. Here’s why we focus on this group:

  • Navigating Life Transitions – Many seniors face challenges such as discouragement, confusion, and feelings of marginalization. Others may struggle with a pursuit of leisure that ultimately lacks fulfillment, echoing King Solomon’s realization: “Everything is meaningless” (Ecclesiastes 12:8).
  • Unrealized Kingdom Potential – Seniors possess invaluable resources—life experience, wisdom, time, financial means, and spiritual gifts—that are often underutilized in God’s kingdom.
  • A Growing Ministry Need – Few ministries and churches effectively reach this demographic and empower them to fully live out their God-given purpose.
  •  Supporting the Local Church – We partner with churches to fulfill their mission of ministering to all generations, including seniors.
  • Overcoming Mobility Challenges – Many seniors experience limited mobility due to health or other factors. By doing ministry in their lace of living, we bring spiritual support and encouragement directly to them.

HOW WE SERVE

 Our values guide our ministry:

  • Sensitivity – Recognizing the physical, emotional, and mental challenges of aging.
  • Compassion – Responding with grace, empathy, and understanding.
  • Commitment – Being dedicated to serving seniors with love and faithfulness.

When you contact Finishing Well Ministries, you will meet a group of committed Christians ready to serve with grace, compassion, and a heart for Christ.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Finishing Well Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to encouraging and equipping senior adults to live the fulfilled life God

intends. We uphold the following biblical truths:

  • The Bible – We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
  • God – We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ – We believe in His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and future return in power and glory.
  • Humanity & Salvation – We believe every human is sinful and separated from God, needing salvation. Christ paid the price for our redemption through His death and resurrection.
  •  Grace Through Faith – Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Christ alone—there is nothing we can do to earn it.
  • The Holy Spirit – We believe in the Holy Spirit’s indwelling power, enabling believers to live a godly life.
  • Eternal Destiny – We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—those in Christ will experience eternal life, while those without Christ will face eternal separation from God.
  • Spiritual Unity – We believe in the unity of all believers in Christ.

Feed My Sheep

Our mission

Our Mission is based on our beliefs that as followers of Christ we are each called to service. When, where and how gifted for the Lord's purpose and glory. We are called to be his hands and feet. We believe that Christ's grace is sufficient and that he rises to meet each of us where we are at in our journey. It is not for us to judge or condemn. Jesus said to "love your neighbor as yourself and to show hospitality."

Feed My Feed Breakfast is at 8:30 -10:30 AM Every Saturday Morning at New Hope Fellowship.

About Feed My Sheep

who we are

how we started

how we started

Feed My Sheep started as an 8 week small group mission at Eastlake Church's Monroe Campus. We knew there were issues of homelessness in Monroe and we simply wanted to provide a meal where everyone was welcome, to help build up our community and have fellowship with one another.

how we started

What started as an 8 week mission has been going since 2013. Over the year's volunteers have come and gone for various reasons, but the current co-leaders have been here since the start. Our group began serving breakfast from UMC on Lewis St. and then moved to the Lewis St. Park and now we are being hosted by New Hope Fellowship. We've met and made new friends along the way! Many members of the community have stopped in to see what our group was doing and decided to jump in and help. This is what makes Monroe the great community we love to live in!

WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

Absolutely! Do I have to have to have a church affiliation or background? No! We would love to have more likeminded and generous people to help us with our mission. No church experience required. Do I hae to know how to cook? Again, No! There's plenty you can do to help - set up/take down tables/chairs, dishes/clean-up, donate food/supplies and socialize with our guests and make them welcome. Do I have to be there every Saturday? You guess it- NO! We completely understand people have lives, commitments and work. Come when you're able, start to finish the time commitment is usually no more than 2 hours. Can I bring my child(ren)? YES! Children 10 yrs and older are welcome. This is a great experience for them to thing about others, be generous/helpful and have an impact on their community.
